Why we ask for a selfie

To keep fake profiles out, every member takes a short live selfie in the app. It proves a real person is holding the phone.

What we keep

• One still reference image of your face from the selfie check. We do not keep the video.
• The result of comparing each profile photo to that reference image.

Who processes it

Amazon Web Services (Rekognition) checks liveness and compares faces for us. Your face data is not used for advertising and is never sold.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. When you delete your account, we delete your face reference image. If an account is banned for breaking the rules, we keep a face identifier so the same person cannot rejoin.

Your choice

The selfie check is required for full access. Without it, you can still browse happy hours.
